Come and join us for a great sesssion with Selina Dominguez, as she covers topics of mental wellness and how we can do things to reduce our stress levels. This will also be our first meeting oof the year, as we go through restructuring for the chapter. Mental wellness is such an important topic, and it's great to hear that Selina will be sharing her expertise. Strive Studio is a wonderful resource for the community. As for the SHRM Chapter restructuring, it's exciting to see new opportunities for involvement. Volunteering can be a rewarding way to contribute and make a difference. Are there specific positions you're looking to fill, or any particular skills that would be especially helpful for volunteers?
Looking to fill the treasurer, secretary, membership engagement, work force development and work based learning.
Those are key positions that can really help drive the chapter forward! Here’s a brief overview of each role:
- Treasurer: Manages the chapter's finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Secretary: Handles administrative tasks such as meeting minutes, correspondence, and maintaining records.
- Membership Engagement: Focuses on recruiting new members, retaining current members, and organizing events to keep everyone engaged.
- Workforce Development: Works on initiatives to improve skills and career opportunities for members, including training programs and partnerships.
- Work-Based Learning: Develops and oversees programs that provide practical, hands-on learning experiences for members, such as internships and apprenticeships.
Volunteering for any of these positions can be a great way to contribute to the chapter and gain valuable experience.
